Updated August 2020

Alfriston Swimming Pool will be open for limited sessions from Monday 7th September 2020. But, in order to remain open we need everyone to help by doing things in a certain way. Here’s how it works:

Maximum Numbers At the moment, we are only allowing a maximum of 23 people in the pool at any one time.

Due to these restrictions we are needing to limit the number of spectators and family members attending with a child. We can only allow 1 person to escort a swimmer (if the swimmer is under the age of 16)

Arrive “Beach” Ready! We are not able to open our lockers, you can use the changing rooms and pool side to remove outdoor clothing, but you need to arrive “beach ready” (that means that you need to already have your swimming kit on underneath your clothes when you arrive). Remember to bring a bag for your clothes – which MUST be left on the poolside whilst you swim. After your swimming session please exit the pool through the the female changing room. Please change as quickly as possible and leave the site immediately after. Please do not remain in the changing rooms or corridors any long than is practically necessary. Please return to your car and leave the premises as soon as is practically possible after your lesson.

One Way System for Arrival We have introduced a one-way system as you arrive at the pool.
